Other Ministries at Community Christian Church

Community Christian Church offers a variety of ways for our congregation to get involved to serve God and the community. By participating in ministry, volunteers have the opportunity to share gifts and talents to aid others. The ministry programs are also a wonderful way to connect with other members of the church.

Food Pantry

Micah Ministry

The Micah Ministry of Independence Boulevard Christian Church needs daytime volunteers on Mondays from 10-4, to help sort and stock the adult clothing pantry. If you can volunteer for some period of time on Mondays, or can only volunteer occasionally, please still volunteer!

They are also in need of cakes (not spice or poppy seed, though) made in disposable pans for their Monday night suppers. Each Monday they need about forty cakes.

If you would like to volunteer for Monday night suppers,
call the church office at 816- 561-6531.

If you can help with the clothing pantry or the cakes,
please contact Elke at 816-231-0016 for more information on those opportunities.

The Metropolitan Organization for Racial & Economic Equity (or MORE2), is a new faith-based community organization of which Community is a founding congregation. It provides national training opportunities (through the Gamaliel Institute) for lay leaders and clergy alike.
